Aileen Yoshida
President, LPL Financial Advisor
Aileen founded Wealth By Design and joined LPL Financial in 2018 after serving as Vice President of Hawaii Wealth Management, a Wells Fargo Financial Network office in Honolulu, for 13 years. She began her career as a financial advisor in 1994 at Dean Witter Reynolds, which later became Morgan Stanley, before leaving for Hawaii Wealth Management in 2005.
She earned a degree in Journalism from the University of Hawaii, with a minor in Political Science, and was journalism’s national Donald W. Reynolds Scholarship winner in her junior and senior years. Directly out of college, Aileen worked at the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce where the position of Public Relations Director was created for her.
She left the non-profit world to be the Policyholder Service Manager at Hawaii’s only locally-domiciled insurance company, Pacific Guardian Life, and remained there until being recruited to join Dean Witter. Her love for non-profit community work was satisfied by joining the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce as a member and serving on its Board of Directors for several years. She continues to serve the community as a Bridge Member of the Navy League of the United States, Honolulu Council.
Outside of finance, Aileen loves sports and is an avid golfer. In college, her journalism background and passion for sports led her to become a student sportswriter for the UH Athletics’ Sports Information Department while Stan Sheriff was Athletic Director, covering football, baseball, basketball and swimming. She is also an animal lover and considers her two dogs her children.
